Dyer, Dyer, and Dyer (2013) explained that some groups meet the definition of staff and other groups are defined as a team. There is a difference between the two. A staff is essentially a group of people who are assigned tasks and complete those tasks with supervision. Staff members make little to no decisions and goals are set by the manager (Dyer et al., 2013). Communication is not done by the group but mostly on a one to one basis with subordinates and management, and the manager chooses what he or she wants to communicate. Staff members have responsibility for themselves and managers have a responsibility to achieve goals, but no collaboration exists. Explain Please.
